Alamo Feed & Pet Supply

I’ll definitely continue going to Alamo Feed and Pet Supply for my birdseed! They’re always quick to help and incredibly friendly. Another bonus is that they sell individual flea pills. Save yourself some money and check them out!

I went here because Locke Hill feed closed down. I’ll drive out of my way to Tractor Supply rather than come back to this place. I walked in and said I needed two bags of layer pellets. Asked to confirm that they came in 50 lbs bags. Guy replied with the total, which confused me until I saw the cash register. I asked again if they were 50 pounds, and he finally confirmed. He didn’t say if they had options for brands or protein content. He probably couldn’t hear me behind the 6 year-old COVID plexiglass. I certainly couldn’t hear him. Tried to make conversation on the way to the car. “Our usual place closed down. Just found y’all yesterday, thought I’d stop by.” Radio silence. Just zero customer interaction. Then I didn’t even get what I ordered. Loaded me up with scratch grain and I didn’t fully realize that till I got home and opened it. It’s only 9% protein. That’s on me, though. I should have confirmed what he loaded me with is what I asked for. I’m not sure how he heard scratch grain from layer pellets. Probably the COVID glass again. So now I need to go to Tractor Supply anyway. Not sure where the friendly staff or shop dog was that the other reviews mentioned. Day off m

I usually go to heb for my bird seed, but I just had surgery and I couldn't handle the crowd or walk. Alamo feed is right down the street from me, so we stopped in. prices are reasonable and they had a huge variety of seed. Found exactly what i wanted and it was a quick trip. The owner was also so kind and friendly. We really felt vey welcome.
